Virtual marathon training plan for one month
Weekly kilometres, long-run targets and recovery rules for 10KM to 337.6KM when the whole race window is one month.

Work backwards from the window
A month-long window changes the maths. Instead of peaking for one morning, you spread the distance across the batch and protect yourself from injury. Divide your total by the number of running days you realistically have, then add a margin for weather, work and illness.
Daily targets by distance
The three rules that keep you finishing
- Raise weekly volume by no more than about 10% — most virtual-run injuries come from a sudden jump.
- Take one full rest day every week, even in an ultra block; sleep is where the adaptation happens.
- Keep 80% of your running easy enough to hold a conversation, and save hard efforts for one session a week.
Running in Malaysian heat and humidity
- Run before 8am or after 7pm whenever you can; midday humidity costs you far more than pace.
- Drink to thirst on runs under an hour and carry fluid plus electrolytes beyond that.
- Plan loops that pass a shop or your own door so you can refill mid-run.
- Have a wet-weather alternative — a treadmill or covered stadium loop keeps the block on track during monsoon weeks.
Fuelling and recovery
Anything beyond about 90 minutes needs carbohydrate on the move — gels, sports drink or real food you have already tested in training. Eat within an hour of finishing, prioritise protein, and treat sleep as part of the plan rather than an afterthought.
Common questions
Can I split the marathon distance across several runs?
Yes. Accumulated runs are allowed in NAX Marathon 2027 — every verified activity inside your batch window adds to your total.
How many kilometres per day for the 337.6KM Quad Ultra?
Roughly 12–15KM on most days of the month, with at least one rest day each week and a long run of 30–42KM to build durability.
I have only four weeks — which distance should I pick?
If you are not already running weekly, start with the 10KM. The half marathon is realistic if you already run three times a week.
