Why this distance

The benefits.

Train real endurance

Twelve weeks of half marathon work measurably improves aerobic fitness and running economy.

Choose your conditions

Pick the coolest morning of the month and the flattest route you know — the advantage of a flexible venue.

A predictor of more

Your 21.1KM time is the best indicator of what you can hold over the full 42.2KM.

How to do it

Your guide to the start line.

  1. 01

    Give it twelve weeks

Four runs a week: two easy, one tempo or interval session, and one long run building to 18KM.

  2. 02

Add ten percent at a time

Never increase weekly mileage by more than roughly 10%. Most injuries come from jumping too fast.

  3. 03

    Rehearse fuelling

Practise gels, salts and drinking on the move during long runs — never for the first time on race day.

  4. 04

    Run it and submit

Run it in one go or accumulate it across several runs inside your batch window, then upload a screenshot of every activity.

Before you enter

Warnings & safety.

  • Seek a medical check-up first if you are over 40, returning from injury, or have any heart condition.
  • Heat and humidity slow everyone down — run by effort, not by your treadmill pace.
  • Entries are open to participants with a delivery address in Malaysia only. Race kits, race packs and finisher packs are delivered by our appointed logistics partner across West and East Malaysia; shipping fees may apply depending on your location.
  • You run unsupported: no marshals, no water stations and no medical crew. Plan your hydration and tell someone your route before you set off.
  • Obey all traffic and local regulations. You are responsible for your own safety on public roads.
  • Accumulated runs are allowed: submit a clear screenshot of every activity showing date, time and distance. Edited, cropped or manually entered records may be rejected at verification.
  • Only runs recorded after your registration is confirmed and inside your batch window count. Submissions close 7 days after your batch ends (23:59 MYT).
